In today’s rapidly changing world photographers must be able to offer images that our customers aren’t attempting to do themselves. Creating a unique product line and a special niche will separate you from the crowd.

Using Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter software, students will learn to use the tools that have enabled Helen to raise her average sale by creating high-end products unique to her. Developing your own style is the best feature in learning digital artistry, as nobody will do the same thing or use the same style once the world of Painter has been explored. Helen is known for clear, easy to follow instruction that will give you a great foundation or expand your abilities with Painter.

About Helen Yancy:

Internationally known as an author, teacher, portrait artist and photographer, Helen Yancy is passionate about life, family, anything that is art - about people, and especially their faces. Fine photographic portraits and portrait oil paintings, capturing the true essence of her subjects, has been the focus of her work for most of her life, and for the last 15 years she has combined her traditional skills as a painter with her photographic abilities and digital palette in the creation of innovative and delicate watercolor portraits, virtual oils, and pastels. Beautiful portraits are her passion. Among the first to introduce the magic of Corel Painter software to the world of photography, Helen’s images combine twenty-first century media with old master style and ability.

Past President of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and awarded by theUnited Nations, she is a PPA Master of Photography, Master Artist, Master of ElectronicImaging, and Photographic Craftsman and has presented Portrait Photography andPainting classes and lectures throughout the world. Helen received the Invitational Fellowship of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP); both the Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship from the American Society of Photographers; the prestigious Bakker Award; the first Honorary Gallery Award from Kodak and the George Harris Award from PPA. Recently the PPA Board created a new distinctive award named the Helen Yancy Award because of her love for the people who create photography.

Helen has an intense desire to share and help other photographers develop new products that will separate them and their businesses from the mediocre and raise the level of their art and their craft, which will assure a better bottom line and a profitable future.
