As photographers, sometimes we get complacent with a “good enough” attitude.  It is too easy for the below average artist to use our industries' equipment and tools to produce a saleable product. Colleen & Darty will teach you how to use your studio’s image and style to survive in this ever changing field of photography. From the basics of posing and lighting techniques to marketing and selling to seniors, Colleen and Darty will cover it all in a clear and easy to understand program.  The course will be heavy on senior portraits with discussions on the senior experience, how to make seniors comfortable, and marketing to the High School Senior.  Learn how to create packages for sales that create a buying frenzy. Plus. learn the importance of Dollar per hour in your studio.

The senior marketing section will include, how to design pieces that appeal to your target audience, where to get the new ideas, and how to stay ahead of the competition.  Along with the senior market, learn how to cultivate seniors at a very young age through successful promotions such as School Portraits. Also, learn the importance of good customer service. The Colleen & Co. studios have tried and tested many promotions and products. Colleen and Darty will openly share the many aspects of portrait photography. Join Colleen and Darty as they help you have your best year!  

About Colleen and Darty....

Colleen Gonsar and Darty Hines combine their talents for a program filled with information that can be used in your studio immediately. The creative team of Colleen and Darty are the perfect combination for your organization. Colleen and Darty will amaze you with their straight forward style and honest approach to running a photography studio.  Colleen & Co. has 4 full time photographers and photographs around 800 seniors each year. They would love to share with you ideas that make seniors want to come to Colleen & Co. They believe in offering their clients a choice that is like no other in Central Pennsylvania.  Colleen Gonsar started the studio in 1989 at the age of 20.

The studio has grown to include 8 full time employees. A second location was added in 1997 and quickly grew into a new studio in December of 2001. The 6,700 sq. ft layout of the new studio will blow your mind. It is like no other. Both locations also include extensive outdoor studios. Colleen’s studio has become a success from having an unbelievable gifted staff, and listening and responding to the ever changing needs of the client. Colleen recently received her Craftsman Degree and has won multiple awards for her photography and marketing. 

Darty Hines joined the Colleen & Co. team in 1998. He has worked in many studios in the Ohio area before making his home in Pennsylvania. He has won numerous awards for his photography including, including ANNE finalist in 2005 and 2007 for Senior Marketing. He is responsible for the creative side of the studio’s growth and designs most marketing campaigns. Darty also received his Craftsman Degree in 2002.
