Born and raised in Chicago, Photography started out as a hobby in the early 80’s following in his brother’s footsteps but evolved into a passion and developed a fascination with image making.

Rogers began serving in the military in 1984. While stationed in Germany he was able to work in a darkroom and further explore his craft focusing mostly on landscapes. Along with photographic opportunities, the Army presented Paul with a toolbox of attributes: integrity, honor, attention to detail, selfless service and more. After serving for 11 years, Paul entered the Reserves, leaving the active service to pursue his passion of photography.

Becoming a member of the Professional Photographers of America in 1999 was a pivotal point for Rogers; taking his photography to the next level had a whole new meaning. Ten years later, Rogers continues to grow through his association with the organization and its members including achieving the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees as well as Professional Photographic Certification. His work has been recognized several times in the PPA's Loan Collection, an elite collection showcasing the pinnacle of vision, creativity and technical excellence. Rogers has been honored with a variety of accolades including multiple PPA Photographer of the Year, Kodak Gallery and Fuji Masterpiece Awards. Rogers has also had his work displayed at the “Imaging Asia” expo in 2005.

In 2007 Rogers was invited to the American Society of Photographers, joining an organization of professional photographic artists who aspire to maintain the highest level of excellence by adhering to ethical standards, stimulating creativity and continually refining technical competence. Their goal is to promote education, foster fellowship and perpetuate the ideals of photography as a science and an art.

Rogers continues to serve with the military in various duty roles as he also continues to follow his photographic passion for image making excellence.

Paul will share with you the art of storytelling and the importance of good communication with your client. Breaking out of the norm with creative thinking along with how to stay inspired with your everyday work. Monochromatic conversions complete this one of a kind program. Starting with the capturing of the image, to the final monochrome presentation, and everything in-between.
